Using Spintax in Newsletters and Serial Emails (SuperMailer 14.40 and newer)

Spintax is an acronym for "Spin Syntax." It is used to create different texts or articles on a topic. Especially in the SEO field, Spintax is often employed to present search engines with randomly altered "unique" content and generate additional backlinks. In the email field, it can be used to send emails with varying modified texts to bypass spam detection when sending to a high number of recipients on the same target server.

Spintax Syntax

Within curly braces { and }, meaningful text variations are separated by the pipe symbol |. The variations must always make sense within the sentence. AI can be utilized to generate Spintax since it is not always easy to find suitable and matching terms manually.

Spintax in SuperMailer

• SuperMailer randomly generates new texts for each sent email from the words and phrases specified with |. The leading and trailing spaces of the words and phrases specified with | are always removed before inserting them into the target text. The spaces as separators must therefore always be set correctly before { and after }.
• Hyperlinks can be inserted with Spintax, e.g., {https://www.supermailer.de|https://www.superwebmailer.de|https://www.monewsletter.de} as the link target. One URL is randomly selected during the email sending process.
• SuperMailer ignores all entries in curly braces { and } that do not contain | as alternatives. This makes it possible to use C or PHP code in emails in the form of if(a > b){d = b;} without any issues.
• When using the alternative browser links/online version of newsletter, a randomly assembled text is displayed in the browser, not the text currently visible in email program.
• For the newsletter archive, a generated text variant is statically included in the archive.
• Spintax can be used in personalized attachments for custom text files but not in Microsoft Office/LibreOffice/OpenOffice documents that requires personalization.
• When sending via BCC, recipients in a send block all receive the same text as a blind copy.
• Spintax cannot be used for embedded images sent with the email.
• The characters {} and | can be escaped with \ (\{\} and \|) so that they are not processed.
• Spintax should be used sparingly, especially the nested variant, as texts for each individual email need to be searched and replaced.
